Lakshmi Tatwa Seminar, Prescott AZ - October 18-20, 2019
“What is this Lakshmi symbolically, what is it expressing? It is expressing the awareness. Lakshmi expresses awareness, and She came out of the sea, you know that. The awareness first started growing in the sea. The life started existing in the sea, to begin with, and then it grew out. Without the life there is no awareness. First the life, because everything is jada (inanimate matter), everything is dead. And when it becomes life it means it has awareness. So the awareness started growing in the sea. This is the symbolic expression.
”
It is with tremendous joy that the Phoenix Yoginis invite the established yoginis of America, to join us for our Pre Diwali Puja Lakshmi Seminar – from Friday October 18, 2019 to Sunday October 20, 2019, up at Camp Wamatochick in the scenic hills of Prescott, Arizona. We humbly request you to join us as we collectively offer our devotion and profound thanks to Shri Mataji and all the Deities.
As American yoginis we are the force that can help to awaken the all powers of the Vishuddhi on this wonderful continent. As this is a very special event, aiming to give all of us established yoginis the opportunity to focus on our inner growth, we are requesting children, babies, husbands and brothers to please stay at home so that we can all focus fully on this seminar without any distractions. Please note that the camp ground does not allow any pets.
Please find information below on our puja registration fees, seminar agenda and registration process. To help make our seminar successful, we humbly request you to complete your registration by October 12th, 2019 so we can advise the camp ground on numbers for food, etc, since there is a limited occupancy. Please do mention any special dietary needs and/or restrictions on our registration page so that we can advise the camp ground caterer in a timely manner.
The temperatures in October at Camp Wamatochick should be around upper 60s to low 70s during the day and upper 40s to low 50s at night. The camp ground is located on a hillside, with a stream at the base of the hill. It is adjoining a National Park and is in a beautiful pine forest. It consists of heated wooden huts with bunk beds. The toilet and shower blocks with hot showers are in separate huts so a flashlight and good walking shoes are necessary. Water is trucked in so please do use water sparingly. There is a large fire pit and wood for havan and treatments. Being so close to a National Park and having wooden huts we do need to be aware of fire dangers and to be very careful not leave unattended candles or flames anywhere in the camp ground. There are also different activity areas throughout the camp site. The camp ground is catering all our meals for us but we will be providing snacks, etc.
If you have any collective forum discussion items for our agenda, or you wish to participate in any of the evening cultural activities, or you have any dance or music skills that you would like to share with us all, or if you have any questions regarding the seminar please do let us know by contacting us at: azsahajayoga@gmail.com
